Gabriel Sherman is an independent AI policy researcher and science communicator working to support the benefits and reduce the risks of powerful AI systems through public communication and government action. He co-leads the Community and Civil Society Engagement Group within Utah's Responsible AI Community Consortium, helping community members have a voice in how AI gets used and developed in their state. His goal is technology that's not just powerful but safe and inclusive, and that makes life better for all of us. He loves Latin dancing, writing, and spending time outside.
