Andrew Ballard

Andrew Ballard has served as the Mac Administrator for the College of Social and Behavioral Science (CSBS) at the University of Utah for nearly a decade. With a career that began around the macOS 10.10 era, Andrew has been instrumental in transforming and streamlining Apple device management across the college.

Tasked with consolidating and standardizing Mac administration, Andrew successfully brought over 140 Macs and iPads under centralized management. His toolkit includes macOS Server, ARD, DeployStudio, Munki, AutoPKG and Jamf, where he proudly unlocked the “Zero-Touch Deployment” achievement.

Beyond his technical expertise, Andrew also manages print services and brings a creative edge to his work—both as a systems admin and as a dedicated PlayStation gamer known online as MrSparkleKitty.
